Cherry Hill Roofing is a roofing contractor based in Cherry Hill, NJ, with more than 20 years of experience on the roofs of South Jersey and the Philadelphia suburbs. We repair, inspect and replace roofs on split-levels, colonials, twins, rowhouses and older homes with slate, as well as the flat and low-slope roofs of small commercial buildings.
Much of what we do is undoing quick fixes: caulk smeared over chimney flashing, shingles patched into a slate roof, gutters hung where they cannot catch the water. Those repairs look cheaper at the time and cost more later. We would rather find the real problem and fix it once.
Our Approach
Every leak call includes a trip into the attic as well as onto the roof, so we can follow the water to where it actually gets in before anything is priced. You get a straight answer on whether the roof can be repaired before replacement is ever mentioned. When replacement is the right call, the written scope lists tear-off, decking, underlayment, flashing, ventilation and gutters as separate lines, so you can compare our estimate with any other item by item.
On the job, we work the way we would want a roofer to work on our own house. Damaged decking is photographed and shown to you before it is replaced, at a per-sheet price already set in the contract. Flashing at chimneys, walls and skylights is replaced rather than caulked over.
Shingle colors are chosen against your actual brick or siding, with samples held up on site. Slate and older roofs are repaired with matching material wherever it can be sourced. And at the end of every working day, the yard, driveway and gutters are cleaned, with a magnet sweep for nails.
Our contracts follow the home improvement rules of the state your house is in, New Jersey or Pennsylvania, including the cancellation notice. If a storm damages your roof, we photograph and write up the damage for your own claim, and our crew will meet your adjuster on site if you ask.
